Introduction to environmental toxicity for REACH

350.00 GBP (ex. VAT) - Non-member

***This workshop will be delivered online and split over 2 half day morning sessions on Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th July 2026***

The purpose of REACH is to improve understanding of chemicals and their potential risk during intended use. As well as obvious direct hazards from physico-chemical properties and health hazards caused by direct contact with chemicals, there is an increasing concern relating to risk from indirect exposure through the environment.

Anyone involved in assessment chemical substances and mixtures needs to consider the wider environmental impact from intended use. This is relevant for REACH, Biocidal products, detergents, fertilisers and other regulatory frameworks where there is a risk of chemicals entering the environment. As well as those writing SDS or needing to work through a REACH Registration, it is essential that all personnel involved in the development of new chemicals or proposing new uses for existing chemical products understand the potential impact on the environment

The training will be undertaken using slides and live examination of data, including a look at IUCLID and exposure estimation models. The topics will be at an advanced level and it is expected that those attending will have a reasonable knowledge of CLP and REACH Registration requirements.

Discounted rates apply for REACHReady Gold subscribers and CIA members; Book before 10th June 2026 for the early booking rate: £280 (+ vat) REACHReady/CIA members; £350 (+ vat) non members; thereafter £308/£385 (+ vat) respectively.
