About the Event

Kaizen events are a way to engage and empower more of your workforce in driving continuous improvement. Engaging as much of the workforce as possible in this endeavour increases the chances of long-term success. If a business stands still, it will be lost – a business must always strive to get better, to stay ahead of the competition.

As a Kaizen or Improvement Workshop involves facilitating and leading a group of people – guiding them to work as a team – soft skills are as important as the actual tools and techniques often used in Kaizen events. Many practical and useful tips will be covered to equip the candidate in running their own events.

Topics covered include common approaches and workshop formats, planning a workshop, team selection, choosing a suitable area or topic to improve, through to facilitating an activity, how to use the tools & techniques frequently utilised in Kaizen events, and successful sustainable implementation of improvements.

Drawing on our trainer’s twenty years of experience in delivering improvement projects and Kaizen events for clients, primarily in the Process Industries, this course provides delegates with the skills to plan, prepare and run Improvement Workshops, and with the knowledge of how to deal with common situations and obstacles that will arise. Case studies and examples are used to illustrate scenarios.

The course is delivered in the context of working in the process industries, including COMAH sites.
