About the Event

This course is specifically designed for managers in the process industries, taking into account the unique demands of managing high hazard sites, and will link in with leadership models and guidance as published by the Process Safety Leadership Group, and the OECD’s Corporate Governance for Process Safety. The course will introduce leadership theories, and will then explore how leadership is demonstrated in the workplace with practical tools and techniques that can be immediately applied upon returning to site.

In order to get the best out of your people you need to understand and develop your leadership abilities. This course is aimed at senior and middle managers looking for a grounding in principles of leadership, for example;

• Site managers
• Operations / production managers
• Health, safety and environmental managers
• Engineering and maintenance managers
• Laboratory managers / supervisors
• Human resources and training personnel

First line supervisors/ Team Leaders/ shift managers may also find the course useful, though there is a specific course available for these personnel which covers some of the specific challenges they face. Please enquire further if this version of the course would be of interest.
